Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology confirms next edition and new venue

The Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology fair will continue its goal of providing a top regional platform for China’s rapidly growing intelligent building market, as it holds its 7th edition from 25 – 27 September 2013. Jointly organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade – Shanghai Pudong Sub-Council and Shanghai Hongshan Exhibition Service Co Ltd, the fair is expected to play host to over 150 exhibitors showcasing a range of technologies and solutions for building automation, smart home development, generic cabling as well as security and access control. The year 2013 signals several key developments for the show, one of the biggest being a change in venue.

E-Controls presents new input/output programmable controllers LIOB I/O for BACnet and LonWorks networks

E-Controls is presenting a new family of input/output modules and programmable controllers LIOB I/O for BACnet and LonWorks networks, available in different bus field configurations for different type of installations.

The LonWorks products family is available for free topology twisted pair TP/FT-10 bus and for Lon over IP (Ethernet IP852). The BACnet product family is available for BACnet/IP networks.

Every product family is including five modules with different analog and digital input/output configurations, that can be adapted to any type of installation where any measurement like temperature, humidity, pressure, digital sensors are needed. Also any kind of output like analog 0-10V or digital with relays in different currents or triac is available.

E-controls was present in the last exhibition Climatizacion 2013 held in Madrid from February the the 26th and March the 1st. The company presented all its news and novelties of innovative products that provide a global management control of the buildings, from HVAC zone control to production plants management among lighting control of different parts of the buildings.

The exhibition was the channel to present the new multisensors for motion and lighting detection used to automatically switch on, off and dim lights of the installations with the concept to save energy based on the zone occupancy and natural lighting shinning inside the building.

KNX to support WorldSkills Leipzig 2013

WorldSkills Leipzig 2013 is delighted to announce that KNX is to support the Competition. As Skill Presenter, KNX
association, consisting of leading companies active in many fields of home and building control, will provide the equipment for the competition skill Electrical Installations. The competition of this skill will be based on the worldwide standard of home and building control for the second time.

ISO ensures everyone speaks same technical language on energy performance of buildings

To ensure that everyone speaks the same technical language when it comes to evaluating the energy performance of buildings, ISO has developed a new technical report. It will particularly help rating and certification bodies unify the criteria for evaluating the energy performance of buildings.

In addition, for the first time, builders, suppliers, regulators, legislators and customers will be able to communicate in terms backed by international agreement.

TÜV Rheinland and KNX Association sign Partnership Agreement

TÜV Rheinland signed a partnership with the KNX Association and will now offer product testing according to the KNX standard in Asia, Europe and North America. Within the cooperation, TÜV Rheinland intends to support the recognition and the internationalization process of the KNX technology with its global network. TÜV Rheinland is also going to host the first KNX Forum Japan in its premises in Yokohama which is going to take place in Yokohama,
Japan, on February, 26th 2013.

ISE has been located in Amsterdam for eight of its ten years as Europe’s leading show for professional AV and electronic systems integration. KNX Basic Course

KNX Training Center SPAIN (by Domonetio) is certified by KNX International Association to conduct this KNX Basic Course.

The course is designed to offer small groups of 4-6 students; individual, specialized, intensive training in KNX building
automation system. This 2 day crash course provides training in the design, installation and commissioning of a KNX system and is delivered by an experienced tutor.

This course teaches the fundamentals of KNX data transmission: configuring project structuring, startup and service work with the engineering tool software (ETS).The course concludes with the theoretical and practical KNX tests. On successful completion of these tests, you will receive the KNX certificate (KNX Partner).
